Interested in gaining practical journalism experience in the U.S.?

The International Journalism Exchange is now accepting applications
until June 1.

The International Center for Journalists' International Journalism
Exchange will bring 10 young newspaper editors with at least five
years' experience from the developing world to the United States
from October 7 to November 11.

Participants will spend a week in Washington, D.C. where they will get
to meet editors at major U.S. newspapers and learn about journalism in
the capital. Then, they will head out to different parts of the country
to work at a newspaper with about the same size circulation as the
newspaper they left in their home country. There, the editors will spend
one month learning about the cultural and professional aspects of
reporting for a community paper in the U.S. The program ends with a
two-day event in New York where, in addition to touring the city and
visiting media organizations, participants will get to visit the
country's most prestigious newspaper, the New York Times.
