Re: where are you?

I made it to Yellowknife ok... about two and a half or three tanks of
gas... the campsite is well serviced... but on the weekends it's
sometimes hard to get a good spot as the locals grab them to "camp
out".... First three nights were at a "tent, no electricity" site #
75 for $15 / night... last night I moved to a "Tent with electricity"
site #14 for $20 / night... my iPod needed charging and the weather
report said chance of snow with temps near 0š C.... I bought a little
ceramic electric heater for about $40 to keep me warm... worked
fine.. the "camper" sleeps well.. I'll do pics...

I am using a mosquito net over the tailgate and open window at the
back of the truck to make the fourth wall of the tent... Canadian
Tire had some great clamps that hold it in place well...

I've use the eye-bolts that I put in the truck's canopy to run a
fairly strong rope line from one bolt to the other... this gives me
lots of places to hang things to dry... should I need them.. helps
keep the tension good for the curtains over the windows too... as
that same line is used as the curtain rods for both windows...

I've not yet taken pictures of the "camper" or sites.. or any here in
YK for that matter... I'm keeping my eyes open for the "world's
largest 'copter" to get a shot of that.. lots of nice planes at the
air port... will try for some nice pics of the....

Had a good meeting with the fellow I came to see at News North... he
offered me the second job (housing included) in Inuvik... but after
having pointed out that I was not a writer ("Good thing to know" he
said)...and offering me the job again... said that he would talk to
me again on Wednesday...

So I am visiting other establishments in town to see how things go
with them.. I have a few ideas...

Am access the internet for free at the library... just above the
shopping mall where Trevor is the manager of the Bootlegger store...

He needs to move out of the place where he's staying and VERY
interested in sharing... that'd be fun.... ! ! ! !

If a girl friend moves in... she'll have to pay her share too... no
freeloaders...!!! ! !

Seem he's about to acquire another car...

I got some nice pictures of buffalo with calves on the way in... just
after the ferry... I will try and get those up online and then the
next batch will be the tent sites...

That's it for now...

George
